I am a Creative Information Integrity Advocate.
My mission is to foster a healthier information ecosystem.
I serve on the advisory committee of several organizations, such as the Open Internet for Democracy Initiative (OIDI). I am a member of the High-Level Group of Experts for Resilience Building in Eastern Europe (HLEG), and an expert evaluator for programs and foundations, such as JustTechFellowship and Civitates.
I have led community-centered tech research, impactful advocacy campaigns, cutting-edge programs, multistakeholder engagement processes, and community-building efforts.
As a press freedom advocate focusing on the online safety of journalists, I have a unique holistic approach to the topic; producing research, most recently with PEN America and as a Rebooting Social Media Fellow at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard; resources for journalists and safety protocols for newsrooms, particularly during my Knight-Wallace Fellowship at the Wallace House Center for Journalists at the University of Michigan. I have supported over 1500 newsroom leaders and journalists facing digital challenges in the Global Majority world, Europe, and the U.S. for the last 15 years.

As an international media consultant, I have ongoing collaborations with tech leaders, human rights defenders and change makers all around the world.
I regularly engage with social media platforms, academics, policymakers, and broader audiences. I am an active member of the Coalition Against Online Violence and part of several working groups such as the Journalism Safety Research Network, The Coalition for Independent Technology Research, the Digital Services Act (DSA) Civil Society Organizations Coalition, and the DSA Human Rights Alliance in Brussels. I have also mentored Trust and Safety practitioners within the All Tech Is Human community.

I have given over 150 talks on the intersection of social innovation, journalism, and digital rights at places such as MozFest, Internet Governance Forum, RightsCon, and as a Tedx Speaker.
Prior to that, I ran Reporters without Borders’ Tech Desk where I monitored threats against freedom of the press and developed projects to reinforce online information integrity.

I have specialized in building escalation channels for journalists and human rights defenders facing attacks on social media.
The exploratory research phase of the project has been incubated by the Institute for Rebooting Social Media at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard, then developed with the support of PEN America Digital Safety and Free Expression Team, and the Coalition Against Online Violence, gathering over 85 nonprofit organizations focusing on the safety of women journalists.
